On June 23 in Hanoi, within the framework of Vietnam-Korea Business Forum, T&T Group and Korea Gas Corporation (KOGAS) signed and a MOU to cooperate in developing LNG projects and hydrogen projects in Vietnam, both of them will cooperate to convert coal power projects in PDP VIII to LNG power according to the Government’s policy.
T&T Group and KOGAS will jointly develop projects using LNG refrigeration from LNG depot in Vietnam and operate LNG refrigeration chain sales nationwide; also engages in other business activities related to LNG (procurement, importation, transportation and supply of LNG for power generation and other industrial purposes).
The collaboration with KOGAS will bring T&T Group valuable resources in terms of experience, technique, technology, finance, etc. to implement LNG projects in Vietnam, thereby contributing to ensuring national energy security.
