On July 20, EVNGENCO1 and Vietnam – Russia Joint Venture (Vietsovpetro) presented to the leaders of Tra Vinh province about the investment in wind power projects under the Power Plan VIII.
EVNGENCO1 and Vietsovpetro have proposed to the leaders of Tra Vinh province to allow the investment in a wind power center in the coastal area of the province with a total capacity of 2000MW, divided into a number of projects/factories to be put into operation in phases.
Concluding the meeting, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ngo Chi Cuong approved the policy for 2 investors to research and implement the project. He also emphasized that when investing in Tra Vinh, EVNGENCO1 and Vietsovpetro need to comply with current legal regulations.
