The official average retail price of electricity was adjusted to VND 1,920,3732/kWh (excluding VAT) from May 4, 2023, an increase of 3% compared to the current average retail electricity price.
According to EVN leaders, a 3% increase had less impact on controlling the consumer price index (CPI) and people’s life, production and business activities of enterprises.
The responsible authorities must focus on stabilizing “market psychology” after increasing power costs, keeping track of the price components for goods priced by the State and making the necessary adjustments to prevent the prices of other goods also going up at the same time.
