In the afternoon of the 15th National Assembly, The MOIT provided an explanation on the topic of investing in renewable energy projects.

The MOIT said that wind and solar power have developed quite strongly in our country in recent years. However, places with potential for sun and wind are places with low loads. Therefore, in order to use this energy source, a large investment must be made in the transmission or storage system of electricity.

The MOIT also said: The import of electricity from abroad has been regulated in the Electricity Law and related decrees. This is a long-term strategy based on Vietnam’s political and security relationships with neighboring countries, in order to ensure national energy security in all situations.
